Students of Agriculture colleges to picket at Agric Ministry on October 11. Ƚ Date: 07 October 2017 ʀ By Justice Kofi Bimpeh Students of the various agricultural colleges in the country will on Wednesday, October 11 picket at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) to demand their inclusion on the list of colleges that will benefit from the restoration of trainee allowances as promised by government. Students Representative Council (SRC) president for Kwadaso Agric College Stanley Mensah, in a radio interview, said they will boycott lectures and collaborate with colleagues from the other colleges to march to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) which has oversight responsibility for the school. “We began boycotting lectures last Wednesday, and we are going to continue. If God permits, next week Wednesday [October 11], we are going to stage a mammoth picketing at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Accra,” he said. Government, as ways to fulfil its campaign promise of restoring trainee allowances, has announced the restoration of nursing and teacher trainee allowances which will be disbursed by the Student Trust Loan Fund, however, students from the Agric colleges are furious over what they said was their exclusion from the list of beneficiaries. According to Stanley Mensah, they have petitioned MoFA to have the issue addressed but their efforts have proven futile. “We have gone to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to meet the Minister himself, but he told us that our allowance was not captured in this year’s budget,” Mr Mensah bemoaned. Mr Mensah added the protests will not end until government signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to make students from Agric colleges beneficiaries of the allowances.

Whom to marry

In life, one of the most important choice you will need to make is who to marry. This choice is so important that if you miss it, you will suffer for long, if you get it right then you will enjoy forever. A bad marriage can affect every other area of your life. This subject is so important to the extent that so many married people are hoping to be single again so as to be able to make the right choice all over again. If you are single please don’t just be in a hurry to get married, because you still have the best opportunity to prepare for it. For two people to come together to live in peace and harmony, they must agree spiritually, mentally and physically. Just like an elephant cannot marry an ant so also a believer cannot marry an unbeliever. If an elephant marries an ant how would they live, if a goat marries a fish where would they meet? You must look for a sincere and righteous man or a sincere and righteous woman to marry, nothing can beat this. The devil’s primary target is the family. He knows that everyone belongs to a family and if he can bring two wrong people together in marriage, then he will succeed in breaking the community ties and the nation down as a whole, and this is part of what we’re witnessing all over the world presently. Ignore your age and the pressure for a moment, the pressure in a wrong marriage is far worse. God has somebody for you but you must set your priorities right. What do you need in a woman? What do you need in a man? Marriage is not about what you want, it is about who you need, that will make you better while you make him better, it’s not something you just jump into. That is why you must know your purpose before you get married. You must pray before you choose. God knows the best person for you, it is only wise to seek His will. It is very easy to know God’s will when sex is not involved. The moment sex is involved and you want to know His will then He will blank you out. Why? Because you have broken His first Law of NO SEX before marriage. If you have had sex in the past then you need to repent totally and stay away from each other, then you can seek forgiveness from God. Your marriage will not be hell on earth. Your marriage will be honourable. Don’t marry for sex, don’t marry because you are of age, don’t marry because you are getting old, don’t marry because you are lonely, don’t marry because you need someone to support you financially, don’t marry because you mistakenly got pregnant, don’t marry because you don’t want to lose the person, don’t marry because of family pressures, don’t marry because you like the idea of marriage and admire every wedding gown you see, don’t marry because all your friends are getting married. But get married because you want to fulfill what God has ordained on every child of him Get married because you want to be a help mate, but most of all, because you want to fulfil a purpose of having completed half of your religion, your deen. God will help you in choosing, please let’s all continue to pray pervently to God for all we want. He loves us so dearly and He will answer all our prayers and supplications at the right time.

Gone so soon?

My brother is not dead!

This what I encountered with God as slept yesterday. 1. I asked :God how does Bible represent death? He answered : Our friends, we want you to know the truth about those who have died, so that you will not be sad, as are those who have no hope. 1Thessalonians 4:13 1cr 15 :18- 20 . It would also mean that the believers in Christ who have died are lost. If our hope in Christ is good for this life only and no more, then we deserve more pity than anyone else in all the world. But the truth is that Christ has been raised from death, as the guarantee that those who sleep in death will also be raised. John 11 :11 – 14 Jesus said this and then added, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I will go and wake him up.” The disciples answered, “If he is asleep, Lord, he will get well.” Jesus meant that Lazarus had died, but they thought he meant natural sleep. So Jesus told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead, but for your sake I am glad that I was not with him, so that you will believe. Let us go to him.” Daniel 12 :2 Many of those who have already died will live again: some will enjoy eternal life, and some will suffer eternal disgrace. 2.I asked again :are righteous dead in heaven praising God? He answered : Psalm 115:17 and 18 The Lord is not praised by the dead, by any who go down to the land of silence. But we, the living, will give thanks to him now and forever. Praise the Lord! 3. Will my brother get to know you as he is dead? He answered : Psalm 6:5 In the world of the dead you are not remembered; no one can praise you there. 4.I asked what as I am in this condition what should my brother know about my family? He said : Job 14: 21 Our children win honor, but we never know it, nor are we told when they are disgraced. 5 what becomes of my thoughts at death? Psalm 146:4 When they die, they return to the dust; on that day all their plans come to an end. 6. I asked God again does my brother (the dead) know any things He said Ecclesiastes 9:5 Yes, the living know they are going to die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward; they are completely forgotten. 7. Did he take anything earthly? Ecclesiastes 9:6 Their loves, their hates, their passions, all died with them. They will never again take part in anything that happens in this world. 8. I asked God, when will my brother resurrect if he is righteous? 1Thessalonians 4:16 and 17 There will be the shout of command, the archangel’s voice, the sound of God’s trumpet, and the Lord himself will come down from heaven. Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. 9. I asked once again as my brother is dead, how much can he do? He answered : Ecclesiastes 9:10 Work hard at whatever you do, because there will be no action, no thought, no knowledge, no wisdom in the world of the dead—and that is where you are going. 10. I asked him again, whose voice raises the dead? He said ; John 5:28 – 29 Do not be surprised at this; the time is coming when all the dead will hear his voice and come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live, and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned. 11. After whose body will my brother’s body resurrected to be resembled with? He said to me Philippians 3:20-21 Those who do evil things hate the light and will not come to the light, because they do not want their evil deeds to be shown up. But those who do what is true come to the light in order that the light may show that what they did was in obedience to God. 12. I concluded by saying God, who are all souls for? He said Ezekiel 18 :4 The life of every person belongs to me, the life of the parent as well as that of the child. The person who sins is the one who will die. Once again, all is set for him in the right hand of his maker may his gentle soul be accepted in the bosom of his creator. What do you do?

Sleep less. This is one of the best investments you can make to make your life more productive and rewarding. Most people do not need more than 6 hours to maintain an excellent state of health. Try getting up one hour earlier for 21 days and it will develop into a powerful habit. Remember, it is the quality not the quantity of sleep that is important. And just imagine having an extra 30 hours a month to spend on the things that are important to you.

How will you weigh when Jesus Christ comes ? 

I always cried and asked myself if the last trumpet 🎺 is blown and the savior comes with a scale to measure my good deeds what will be the quantum of my good deeds to the bad ones? We all know that every business person will always want to make profits on what ever sales he /she made but do we expect to profit (gain salvation) when the Lord comes? We have to be on guard on every in every life situation we are because no body knows the day and hour  the Lord will come. Let us keep busy in the Lord’s work to harvest more profits that will lead to eternity.
